The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) invites online applications for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026. The 21st Edition of CTET Examination is scheduled on 08th February, 2026 (Sunday) in 132 cities in the country. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online at CTET Official Website ctet.nic.in from 27th November 2025 to till the application last date 18th December 2025 for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026.

CTET Eligibility Criteria February 2026

Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes I to V

Qualification Id	Education Qualification
1.	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2.	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
3.	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
4.	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
5.	“Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” “(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as primary teacher”.
6.	Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Qualification Id	Education Qualification
1.	Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2.	At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in PostGraduation and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
3.	Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
4.	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
5.	Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
6.	Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
7.	Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/ CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/ CTET.
8.	Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

CTET Selection Process 2026

Applicant will be selected on the basis of performance in CBT (Computer Based Test – Online) which will be held on 08 February 2026 by the Central Board of Secondary Education. All questions in Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). You can see details of examination pattern and syllabus below.

CTET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026

All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of CTET.

Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI toVIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

CTET February 2026 Admit Card Download At ctet.nic.in

The candidates may download e-Admit Card from CTET official website and appear for the examination at the given Centre. The applicants can download their admit card entering Application Number and Date of Birth. In case of any discrepancy noticed in e-admit card regarding particulars of candidate, photograph and signature or any other information which is different from confirmation page, he/she may immediately contact CTET Unit for necessary corrections.

CTET Answer Key For February 2026 Examination

The CTET will send the link of Question Paper attempted by the candidates on the mail-id provided by the candidates in online application form after two to three days of conduct of examination.

The link of Question Paper attempted by the candidates with correct answer key will be sent on the mail-id provided by the candidates in online application form after two to three days of declaration of result.

The CTET will display Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the CTET website: https://ctet.nic.in with a Public Notice issued to this effect on the said website, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with a non-refundable prescribed fee as processing charges. The provisional Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days.

CTET Result 2026 For February Examination

The result of 21st edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test February 2026 will be available at CTET website i.e. https://ctet.nic.in and CBSE website i.e. https://cbse.nic.in, you can download your result or score card by entering Roll Number. The marksheets and qualifying certificates of the candidates will also be uploaded in Digilocker shortly. The candidates may download it by using their mobile number provided by them in their online application form of CTET February – 2026.

How To Apply Online, Register and Login for CTET

The candidate applying for CTET is required:-
1. To go through the Information Bulletin carefully with the entire requirement therein.
2. To submit On-line application by giving full particulars by accessing the CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.
3. To write complete mailing address with Postal PIN Code at the time of applying.
4. Before submission of application form, decide the mode of payment of fee.
5. To keep the Confirmation Page along with the original copy of E-Challan (In case fee is paid through E-Challan) of CanaraBank for future reference.
Method of Submission of Online Application Form:
- STEP 1: Logon to CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in.
- STEP 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same
- STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
- STEP 4: Upload Scanned Images oflatestPhotograph andSignature
- STEP 5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking
- STEP 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.
RegistrationProcedure:
1. Authentication Form: Fill details like State, Identification type (select any Identity as applicable), Candidate‟s Name, Date of Birth and Gender.
2. Fill Online Application Form: Fill complete online Application Form and choose password. After submission, a Registration Number/ Application Number gets generated. Note down the Registration No./ Application No. For subsequent login, system generated Registration No. /Application No. and chosen Password will be used.
  - PasswordPolicy will be as follows:
    1. Password must be 8 to 13 characters long.
    2. Password must have at least one Upper case, one lower case alphabet and one numeric value and at least one special characters !@#$%^&*-
    3. Candidate can change the passwords after login, if desired. New Password cannot be identical to any of the previous three passwords.
  - Candidate is advised not to disclose or share the password with anybody. Neither CTET nor NIC will be responsible for violation or misuse of the password of a candidate.
  - Candidate should log out at the end of their session so that the contents of the application cannot be tampered by unauthorized persons.
3. Online Uploading of Scanned Images: you can follow as per given below instructions.

Scanned Image Uploading Instruction for CTET

Uploading of scanned Photo andSignature are mandatory.
Upload scanned photograph and signature in JPG/ JPEG format.
Size of scanned photograph should be between 10 to 100KB
Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height)
Size of scanned signature should be between 3 to 30KB.
Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height).

The candidates are advised to keep the scanned images of latest photograph and signature of the candidates ready in JPG format and as perthe size and dimension specified, before applying online.

The scanned image of latest photograph is required to upload to avoid the inconvenience at centre, as this photograph will be matched with the actual candidate appearing in the examination.
